Positive changes to your diet can also help with fighting yeast and bacteria.  Below are some tips to
help you:

*Avoid consumption of simple sugars. Yeast uses simple sugars as a food source.

*Opt for high fiber complex carbohydrates such as whole grain breads and cereals, vegetables and
fruits. Soluble and insoluble fiber enhances elimination of fecal matter.  Regular elimination of waste
encourages an ideal environment for healthy bacteria to thrive.

*Fresh salads, vegetables and fruits are high in vitamins, minerals and fiber but also encourage an
ideal intestinal pH (acid/alkaline environment).  Friendly bacteria like a mild and balanced
environment to thrive. Maintaining a healthy pH can support the life and function of these bacteria.

*Limit red meat consumption to 2-3 times per week.  Red meat requires more enzymes and energy to
metabolize than their protein counterparts tofu, fish or white meat.  Also, red meat stimulates stomach
acids for affective metabolism which creates an acidic environment in the gut, not ideal for friendly
bacteria survival.

*Yogurt contains natural probiotics which may be helpful to compliment intestinal health. No added
sugar or (artificially sweetened), plain yogurts are a healthier choice.  And Yefense® is a great source
of Probiotic supplements as well.
What Are Probiotics?
A healthy vagina has many bacteria and a small number of yeast cells. The most common
bacteria, Lactobacillus acidophilus, help keep other organisms-like the yeast-under control.
Yeast infections now effect 75% of women at one time in their lives.

50% of women have at least 2 yeast infections, and 5% of women will suffer with recurrent yeast
infections.
Most people get sick on average 2-3 times per year. This includes colds, flu and general stomach
bugs.  And for women that may mean 2-3 feminine problems.
More than that, you may suffer with a weakened immune system.

Daily use of a probiotic will replenish the loss of beneficial bacteria giving your body the flora needed
to strength your immunity.
Approximately 50 percent of all women will have at least one UTI in her lifetime with many women
having several infections throughout their lifetime.

Lactobacilli have the potential to help protect women from UTIs in a number of ways:

* Maintain a low pH environment.
* Hinder E. coli growth.
* Produce hydrogen peroxide, which produces an environment hostile for bacteria.

Probiotics are live microorganisms (in most cases, bacteria) that are similar to beneficial
microorganisms already found in the human gut.

Benefits include:

*  Inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria that cause digestive stress and/or feminine problems
* Improve digestion of food and absorption of vitamins
* Stimulate the body’s natural defence mechanism - the immune system
* Help make vitamins needed by the body
Probiotics are an excellent way to keep your intestines in good health even if you don't suffer from
yeast infections.
The easiest way to repopulate your intestines is with a probiotic supplement. You can get probiotic
capsules from your local health food store or eat a plain, live yogurt every day.
Every day, some of the good, beneficial bacteria in the intestinal tract are neutralized by stress, poor
diet, caffeine, alcohol, antibiotics, antacids, over-the-counter and prescription medications,
chlorinated water, and a toxic environment, which may deplete the "healthy" bacteria.
Regular elimination of waste encourages an ideal environment for healthy bacteria to thrive.
Almost everyone gets constipated at some time during his or her life. It affects approximately 2% of
the population in the U.S.  Women are more commonly affected.

You are considered constipated if you have two or more of the following for at least 3 months:

* Straining during a bowel movement more than 25% of the time.

* Hard stools more than 25% of the time.

* Incomplete evacuation more than 25% of the time.

* Two or fewer bowel movements in a week.
Taking a multi-strain Probiotic daily will support a healthy digestive and immune system, and promote
& support good health
.

Our gastrointestinal tract is home to
trillions of bacteria, both good and bad.
Probiotic products add more "good"
bacteria. Advocates claim they can aid
digestion, alleviate irritable bowel
syndrome and even banish allergies.

Probiotics are friendly bacteria that live
inside us and keep our bodies in balance.
New evidence says you can improve your
health with more probiotics in your die
t.
Do Probiotics Really Work?

How a Healthy Dose of Bacteria Might
Change Your Life...for the Better

The lesson of probiotics, according to
researchers, is that many people have
become so clean and so sterile that they
actually need to put some bacteria back
inside.
Preventing Colds & Flu

Probiotics can improve digestive
function and has been found to reduce
fever, rhinorrhea (runny nose) and
cough when used daily for 6 months.
'Healthy' Bacteria Help Keep You in
Balance

Probiotics are healthy bacteria. We
already have about 400 healthy bacteria in
our intestinal system. They actually help
us to stay healthy. A probiotic supplement
or food product helps to replenish the
good bacteria in our bodies, help fight
infection and boost immune function.
How Probiotics Can Help?
For Constipation or Hard Stools
For Vaginal Infections
For UTI
Other Uses
Probiotics are among the very safest supplements, so there’s virtually no risk of toxicity or serious
side-effects.  You should consider probiotics anytime your immune system needs help, or anytime
you’re dealing with intestinal issues of any kind.  Health professionals also recommend
probiotics for many other things, too.
Taking antibiotics kill the bad bacteria that have caused an infection or making you ill.  However,
antibiotics also kill off the "good" bacteria that are essential to your health.  Since your immune
system is lowered due to the antibiotics, you want to make sure you add Probiotics to your diet.
Taking Probiotics while on antibiotics will ensure that your body defenses are not
diminished by the them and may offset some of the side efffects.
Probiotics such as Yefense® builds your immune system with health flora to help fight off
infections and illnesses before they even start.  We get sick often, feel worn out, and our bodies
are deteriorating from poor diets, our surroundings and the environment.  The best way to keep
healthy and let your body fend for itself is by adding Probiotics to your daily routine.
